Jury duty was an interesting experience. My case was settled last Tuesday. It was pretty divided and we deliberated for two days. It was an aggravated robbery case, but the evidence just wasn't enough to say beyond a reasonable doubt. It was a little stressful as there was evidence to tie the defendent to the crime, but there were a lot of holes and only one witness who could tie him to the crime and her story did not match up in every way.
It was a hard thing to do considering you could be sending someone away for 8-12 years.

So what was the jury's decision? With so many forensic shows on tv these days, it seems like people expect to see that in real life, too. I would have had a difficult time dealing with the "reasonable doubt" thing. Wow.
