Tiger Cubs- Roar

Late last spring, Zach started to ask about Cub Scouts. I listened and we talked about it and looked into it and after looking at how things in the schedule were looking I sort of didn't answer him, hoping he'd forget.
Imagine this- he didn't forget.

So, we are going to start Zach in Tiger Scout Den 4 over at Monfort Heights. To say he is excited is an understatement. We're coming in right at Pinebox Derby and he and my dad are already shooting ideas out about how to make it work well. Tomorrow, I have to go to the Scout Store to go get his uniform and Tiger Cub handbook. I can't wait to get his picture in his uniform. I'll post when we get them.

I'm sure that this isn't the most sane thing I've done, but we're going to run with it and see what happens.

Hey, that's cool! Elliott is going to join the scouts (there are troops within our school) at the end of the summer I think. I believe they start in first grade and some of his school pals will be in it. He likes the idea of learning how to use knives and do "boy" stuff =-). Have fun!

sonya-
the idea of being given a pocket knife when he graduates from cub scouts to boy scouts was the icing on the cake. i think it was the motivating factor for Z. it must be a boy thing.... btw- how are you feeling?
